Cysteinyl leukotrienes.

The cysteinyl leukotrienes LTC4, LTD4, and LTE4 released from eosinophils and mast cells are important proinflammatory asthma mediators induce many of the pathophysiological changes present in the lungs of patients with asthma, including airflow obstruction, mucus secretion, reduced mucociliary clearance, and inflammatory cell infiltration[1, 2].
