Caraway [(L) Carum or Bounium carvi]

Caraway (Carum carvi L. Umbelliferae) is a shrub with a long history as a medicinal plant since ancient times. It has been used as a spice for breads, cookies, cakes, cheese and liquers.  Caraway pil is aromatic and carminative.  R65 is the symbol of Caraway in RAST.
