Λεξικό .. Bumble bee

(Bombus spp., Megabombus spp., Pyrobombus spp.). Bombus terrestris or bumble bee and the other Bombus spp. are bigger and more hairy than honey bees. They measure approx. 2cm and are more compact and heavily built. They live in colonies but only the fertilised female survives in the winter to find a new nest colony next spring. Bumble bees are not very aggressive and stings from them rarely occur. They do not, as a rule, lose their stinger.
