Cytoplasmic granules small tennis racket-shaped, cross-striated membrane bound granule with characteristic periodicity on electron microscopy, first reported in Langerhans's cells of the epidermis. The function of the granules is unknown. See Langerhans’ cells; Dendritic cells.
