Between 14-35% of beekeepers give histories of systemic reactions after bee stings. Within a beekeeper population those who are least frequently stung develop most allergic reactions. Not one of those beekeepers receiving over 200 stings a year reported a systemic reaction but those receiving 0-26 stings a year 45% did.
