Λεξικό .. Antigen recognition

Intracellular and extracellular antigens differ considerably in their processing and presentation to T lymphocytes.T-lymphocytes are able to recognize antigen-derived peptides only when associated with self MHC class I (CD+8 cytotoxic cells) or MHC class II (CD+4 pro-inflammatory cells) molecules. In order to be activated T-lymphocytes require contact with both the antigenic peptide and with the class I/II molecule. (See Antigen processing and presentation).
