Alavac-S (Bencard). Alavac-S is an alum-absorbed specific desensitizing vaccine individually formulated to meet each patient's needs. Each course of Alavac-S is specially prepared in accordance with the information on causative allergens revealed by case history and skin testing, and recorded on skin test reaction charts or with orders. The degree of sensitivity to each allergen is taken into account when the vaccine is formulated. The absorbed allergen extracts available for inclusion in Alavac-S are: pollens, moulds, dusts, epithelials, abrics.Specific immunotherapy is effective in the treatment of asthma in children sesitized to Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus
