Mould-type (mold-type) Cheese

Cheeses which contain molds belonging to the genus Penicillium.  Patients with mold allergy who are sensitive to Aspergillus, Alternaria, Cladosporium, Penicillium are not allergic to mold cheese.  Casein is the most important allergen in cheese. 

Patients suspect to be allergic to mould type cheese can be investigated in vitro with f82 ALLERGO DISCS. The allergenic material on the discs consists of a mixture of white mould cheese (Camembert and Brie) and green mould cheese (Gorgonzola and Roquefort).
