Carbachol

Parasympathetic agent which produces its effects in the same way as acetylcholine. known as carbamylcholine (marketed under the brand names Carbastat, Carboptic, Isopto Carbachol, Miostat), is a drug that binds and activates the acetylcholine receptor. It belongs to the cholinergic agonists. It is used for for treating glaucoma, or for use during ophthalmic surgery. It is administered as an ophthalmic solution (i.e. eyedrops).
