Adenosine monophosphate (cyclic AMP)

Adenosine monophosphate (AMP) causes bronchoconstriction indirectly, through degranulation of primed mast cells and consequent release of proinflammatory mediators, such as histamine and leukotrienes, as well as through neuronal mechanisms [1]. AMP challenge is a more sensitive marker of change during treatment with corticosteroids [2], as well as being more asthma-specific than direct challenge.see cyclic nucleotides, Adenylcyclase.
