Dictionary of Allergies .. Acrivastine

Acrivastine

An H1 antagonist (second generation H1-blocker) free of CNS sedation at doses recommended for the treatment of allergic rhinitis and urticaria. Because of the fast onset of action of acrivastine, treatment of life threatening anaphylactic reactions (e.g. after insect stings) with acrivastine should be considered.
