There are evidences that atopy and history of allergic reactions to antimicrobial drugs increase the likelihood of intolerance of usually well-tolerated alternative drugs such as acetaminophen and nimesulid in subjects allergic to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID).
