Acarex test, Acarex test. A test used for the determination of the presence and level of house dust mites in rugs, mattress dust [1] and carpeting, and the presence of allergenic material from the house dust mites. The 4- and 10- test kits can be used to initially pinpoint areas of high infestation and then determine the effectiveness of treatment in those areas. Each kit comes complete with instructions to perform quick in-home testing. Acarex test is a useful home test whether used by patients or technicians; misclassifications of colour readings were less frequent at the scale extremes [2]. (See: Guanine).
