Long-acting beta-adrenergic stimulants

Recent developments have concentrated on prolonging the duration of action of β2-agonists. A study of salmeterol significantly better bronchodilation compared to treatment with salbutamol and no evidence of the development of tachyphylaxis. (See Salmeterol).
